UNP chief organizer for Anuradhapura W.B. Ekanayake has died following a fall in the bathroom of his home.
He was 76.
The former minister was a diabetic.
He had been alone at home at the time as the person who looked after him had gone to Jaffna Teaching Hospital to obtain treatment.
Following an inquest, the remains are being kept at Anuradhapura Hospital for the postmortem examination.
