Govt. trying to conceal contents of the PCoI report on Easter attacks - JVP

JVP Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake on Monday (08) called on the government to table the report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry appointed to investigate the 2019 Easter Sunday attack in Parliament.

"At the Presidential Election, they pledged to punish those responsible for the attacks. However, the PCoI concluded proceedings in a manner where details on Zaharan’s handler, the masterminds, and those who planned the attacks are never revealed,’ said Dissanayake.

The JVP Leader Anura alleged that the government is attempting to conceal the contents of the PCoI on Easter Sunday attacks.

‘Sarah’ alias Pulastini, the wife of the suicide bomber who carried out the attack on the Katuwapitiya church has fled to India after the attacks, Dissanayake said, adding that the government hasn't made any attempt to extradite her to Sri Lanka.

Dissanayake said that it is clear attempts are being made to prevent the true details of the 2019 April 21st Attacks from being made public.
